The care of the school is the responsibility of every learner.  Damage to any school property will incur a fine equivalent to the replacement and/or repair cost and  other  necessary disciplinary action as stipulated in the existing School Disciplinary Code.

Learners shall observe maximum silence in the library.  Loss of books or deliberate damage to any school library material or text book shall incur a fine equivalent to the replacement cost and/or suspension from use of the library or borrowing of text books and/or any other punishment as may be deemed necessary.

The school has a well organized library service which caters for learners from Grade 1 till Grade 11/12.

There are three libraries in all, one catering for the boys of Grades 5 till 11/12, one for the girls of Grades 5 till 11 and the other for  Grade 1 to Grade 4 girls and boys.

All three libraries put together have a book stock of  over 23, 000  and this includes text books that are not displayed  but are kept in the store rooms.

The library which caters for  Grades 1 till 4 is called the Extension Reading Library and as such, it also has a teaching component.

The boys' and the girls' libraries have similar books and the information below is with regard to these two libraries:

                    1.  Learners are expected to observe silence at all times.

                    2.  All learners become members of the library once they are enrolled at the school.  The

                         teachers are also members.

                    3.  The book loan period is of two weeks and the maximum number of books to be lent out

is six for the staff and four for the learners.  Text books on the other hand are lent out for the

                         whole term.

                    4.  A nominal fine per book per day is charged on all books brought back after

the due date and the library reserves the right to withdraw borrowing facilities to

members who fail to pay for overdue books.

                    5.  Loss of library books shall attract a fine equivalent to the purchase price of the lost

book.   Members also have an option of actually replacing the book.

                    6.  Library materials shall not be removed from the school library without being

                         correctly  issued.

                    7.  Any marking/defacing of library materials in any way shall attract a fine.

                    8.  Books are re-shelved by the librarian to avoid incorrect placement of books on the

                         shelves.

                    9.  Finally, the library reserves the right to withdraw facilities from any member who

disregards the rules or whose conduct impairs the value of the library to others.
