17. PERSONAL APPEARANCE |

1. Girls ▪ No jewellery, with the exception of small and unostentatious earrings for pierced ears, will be worn at school. The girls' hair should be fully covered by the approved scarf at all times. If the scarf is slippery it should be tied or pinned in order to stay on the head at all times. Perms, wet-looks and wigs are not allowed, but simple plaiting is permitted provided the colour matches that of the natural hair. Plaited hair must be tied back from the face and not allowed to fall free. Make-up is prohibited; however, “Mendhi”, (henna), of the palms and nails is permitted.
2. Boys
▪ No fancy or fashionable hair styles are permitted. The boys must have their hair neatly cut and combed at all times. The hair must not be over the ears or the top collar at the back. Side-burns should not extend below the middle of the ear. The boys' hair in front must be above the eye brows. Boys must not dye their hair. Ear studs, rings etc. for the boys are strictly prohibited.
